The Los Angeles Lakers have announced their roster for the upcoming California Classic in San Francisco, which will be held from July 6-10. The team will participate in the NBA's Summer League, which serves as a showcase for young players and undrafted prospects.

The Lakers' roster features 2024 draft picks Dalton Knecht and Bronny James. Knecht, a 6'10" center from the University of North Carolina, was selected with the 15th overall pick in the draft. James, the son of NBA legend LeBron James, was drafted with the 10th overall pick after a highly publicized high school career.

In addition to Knecht and James, the Lakers' Summer League roster includes several other notable players, including Cameron Young, Max Christie, and Scotty Pippen Jr. Young, a 6'7" forward, was acquired by the Lakers in a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves on draft night. Christie, a 6'6" shooting guard, was selected with the 35th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Pippen Jr., a 6'3" point guard, is the son of Hall of Fame player Scottie Pippen.

The Lakers will begin their Summer League campaign on July 6 against the Sacramento Kings. They will face the Golden State Warriors on July 7, the Memphis Grizzlies on July 8, and the New York Knicks on July 9. The championship game will be held on July 10.
