A Look at the Legacy of the Former Football Star

O.J. Simpson, the former football star and controversial figure, was a father to five children before his death on April 10. His eldest daughter, Arnelle Simpson, was born in 1968 to his first wife, Marguerite Whitley. Simpson and Whitley were married from 1967 to 1979.
Simpson's other four children were born to his second wife, Nicole Brown Simpson. Sydney Brooke Simpson and Justin Simpson are O.J.'s youngest children with Nicole, who was tragically murdered in 1994. Jason Simpson, Simpson's only son, died in 2000 in a car accident.
Simpson's children have largely stayed out of the public eye since their father's trial and subsequent imprisonment. However, they have occasionally spoken out about their experiences, including the impact of their father's actions on their lives.
In 2019, Sydney Brooke Simpson gave an interview to People magazine, in which she discussed her relationship with her father and her thoughts on his innocence. "I believe my father is innocent," she said. "I don't think he could have done it."
